This was my first attempt with Spanish; I came here in order to begin to learn a new language and during my 5 weeks of study I am able to understand simple conversations read and write and feel I can communicate much more than I had hoped. This was made possible by the easy going personality of my teacher, Etel who worked with me at my own pace daily. I have nothing but good things to say about the school, the staff and the whole environment. The extra curriculum activities were very interesting and fun and connected me with the culture here. I hope to be able to come back to this school next year for a more intensive study of the language and hope to have Etel as my teacher again. I will recommended this school to anyone interested in staying in beautiful Panajachel and expanding their Spanish.
I think that overall my experience at the language school was very good. The teacher did a good job of fitting the lessons to my ability. And while I would have liked to do just a little more practice speaking, I think that I have greatly improved my Spanish here. Also I really like the cooking classes. They are a good break from learning and are really fun and delicious. It is very nice to include those in everything.
I very much enjoyed my time learning at this school. My teacher was very organized and her notes were very clear and easy to understand. I learned a huge amount of grammar in only 4 weeks and I was able to have lengthy conversations with my teacher in Spanish. The staff of the school is very helpful and the director was very involved and was responsive to the students needs. Greats School !!!.
I really enjoyed being at Jardín de América I had a wonderful experience, the teachers and staff, were very welcoming; I have really learned a lot, I wish I had more time here but I will return one day. How can I not talk about the wonderful activities we had, the food was wonderful, I will definitely make or at least try to make the different dishes. I am really sad to leave but I will take with me the wonderful experience I had. Thank you all for your hospitality God Bless you and your family and you will always be in my prayers.
Jardín de América is a great place to study Spanish. All the teachers are extremely friendly and attending activities was helpful to understand the culture. I would love to come back and study again.
Jardín de América enriched my time in Guatemala. Specially, the help and knowledge I received from Etel Castro. Etel was instrumental in my Spanish education and I will always remember her warm personality and intelligent style of teaching. Thanks so much for everything.

I am having a private teacher. Studying in the garden, with hummingbirds on the flowers, he sound of wind in the branches. The activities in the afternoon, the friendly atmosphere. All is Great !!!.
I found that Jardin de America was a very well organized school. The combination of one on one classes, the opportunity for group trips, the use of the books and videos and the family stay, a long with non stop coffee made this a very enjoyable week where I learned a lot. During this week. I felt that the school was my home and I was welcome and comfortable there in and out of class time.
Na ja, was könnre es schon schöneres geben, als in Einem wunderschönen und sonnigen garten 5 minuten von Einen beeindruekenden sel zu lernen ??. Die zeit, die ich hier verbrachr habe, war definitiv angenehm. Und interresant und ich würde jedem Empfehlen, diese schule zu besuchen. |
Nach 2 wochen hier in der Sprachschule Jardín de América habe ich wirklich viel dazugewonnen !! Was ?? Ganz Einfoch. Viele neue Möglichkeiten zur konversation, Diskussionen und dadurch neue sichtweisen über das leben und die gedanken und probleme der Menschen hier, viel grammetik - und auch noch übersichtlich und verstandlich, viele angenehme und lustige stunden mit netten lehren - die auf die speziellen fragen und wünsche bzgl. Lernstoff jedes Einzelnen ganz genau Eingehen, und noch viel mehr… Ich würde, wenn ich noch zeit hötle, sofort wieder hier studieren!! |
Hola amigo! Yo me llamo Bjorn. This is normally some of the beginning sentences in a conversation but there are so much more in the "world of spanish". Before entering into this I am now giving you some advice that according to my experience gave me a good time in Jardin de America and I really hope the same for you. My first point is; keep in mind that the form of education is individual, one teacher one student, and that gives you the possibility to create your lessons and conduct your class completely according to what you desire, - imagine that! In relation to this comes my second point; be active talking Spanish, your native language have you left at home, and take responsibility and interest in your own personal development and I am sure you will have a fun time while studying. Imagine that! I am now able to communicate in many different situations and I am really enjoying it and I hope that you will come to do it also. Keep on learning all through your life!
